The funk legends comprise the only War we never want to end.

The only War we wish would never end is the legendary rock/funk band of the same name – and thankfully, they’re still going pretty strong!

Longtime frontman and producer Jerry Goldstein continue their two-part chat with the Rhino Podcast this week, going deep on the band’s past and present, including all the back-to-back smash hits that couldn’t be missed on radio in the ’70s, from “Low Rider” and “Why Can’t We Be Friends” to “The Cisco Kid” and “The World is a Ghetto.”

The group just reissued their classic early albums after parting ways with Animals frontman Eric Burdon in a Record Store Day-exclusive vinyl box set – and we bet it’s just the first of many ways the band is marking their 50th anniversary throughout the rest of the year.
