Musings, thoughts, words from David Nathan, "the British Ambassador Of Soul" of Soul Music.com
Welcome to David Nathan's Soul Music Blog!
OK...I know this should have happened a LONG time ago but...running Soul Music.com, writing liner notes and bios, beginning a book of poetry and a novel all takes hours outta the day! But in the words of Burt Bacharach & Hal David expressed through Dionne Warwick, here I am!

Had some brilliant conversations with two very informed peeps - Vivian Chew of www.timezone.com and James Andrews of www.thekeyinfluencer.com - about the future of www.soulmusic.com and the key to that is interactivity - hence this blog...

Finished some liner notes for a UK Warners anthology on Patti Labelle & The Bluebelles - all their Atlantic recordings and am finishing off the same for The Sweet Inspirations - and man, can those ladies sing or what? I mean, I forgot how really good they are!

Any Sweet Inspirations fans out there? Holler back and let me know what you'd like me to discuss in some future blogs... Happy to do so...

Oh and my current soul music playlist? Lots of Chaka Khan from the new "Funk This" CD, Nancy Wilson's "You're As Right As Rain," Dionne Warwick's "Jealousy" (fr0m her brilliant Track Of The Cat CD, available at www.soulmusicstore.com) etc...

Look foward to hearing from y'all!

Soulfully yours,

David

Hey David,
I am enjoying the new Luther box set. Do you have any inside info on whether there'll be a DVD released of the 2003 Radio City concerts?
Soulful regards, a Toronto fan.

Hi David,
I need a bigger list of LIVE CONCERTS on DVDlike: Blue Magic, Arthea Franklin, Dramatics, The Manhattans, Gerald Levert, Ojays, more "old school" stuff.

Thanks,
Linda
