One of the true originators of the funk movement, Charles Wright started the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band back in the '60s and recorded several classics with the group before starting his own solo career. A prolific songwriter who continues to record and perform, Charles was in London in June to sit in with another soul survivor, Bobby Womack for some shows at The Jazz Cafe.
