CISSY HOUSTON
American soul and gospel singer (b. 30 Sept. 1933). Was a prolific background vocalist before becoming a solo artist. Released a handful of disco recordings as well. She is also the mother of Whitney Houston, and the aunt of Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick.
